Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all students or prospective students of NZSWS. You should read and understand these and the NZSWS Policies relating to Conflicts of Interest, Reasonable Adjustments, Special Consideration, Malpractice and Maladministration, Privacy/ Data Protection, Diversity and Equality and Complaints prior to booking any course. If Reasonable Adjustments are required please contact a member of our team prior to booking.

Booking and Payment 

Full payment must be made at time of booking. We do not accept provisional bookings and places will only be confirmed once payment is received. You will receive an email acknowledging payment has been made and confirming your place on the course. 

Unless otherwise agreed, all bookings should be via the NZSWS website    www.nzsws.co.nz


Entry requirements for WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines

Each of the above qualification courses have entry requirements, detailed below. Before your place can be confirmed, your eligibility will need to be checked and validated by our team. Please do not complete your booking unless you meet these entry requirements. 

WSET Level 3 Award in Wines
To enrol on this qualification you must have successfully completed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines (previously known as the Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits).

WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines
To enrol on this qualification you must have successfully completed the Level 3 Award in Wines, (previously known as the Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits).

Unfortunately due to the nature of the qualification and its assessments, we are unable to accept any other pre-requisite knowledge for this programme.

If you book a place on one of these courses but we are unable to validate your eligibility, we will have to cancel your place and refund your fee. Your course will not be 100% confirmed until we have validated your eligibility. 

Additional Terms and Conditions apply to WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines ( additional terms)

In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the additional terms, the additional terms will prevail. The additional terms are delivered to each applicant wishing to join the NZSWS WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines course programme.


Cancellations and transfers for WSET Awards in Wines or Spirits Levels 1-3
Cancellations of confirmed places are accepted up to 10 working days prior to the start of the course. An administration fee of $100.00 plus the full cost of the study materials supplied will be deducted with the remainder of the course fee refunded to the payee.

Transfers of a confirmed booking either to another course or applicant can be made up to 10 working days before the course start date on payment of a $100.00 admin fee plus the cost of any additional study materials which may be applicable.

 
If a confirmed course booking is cancelled by the student during the ten working days prior to the start of the course, or at any time after the start of the course, no refund or transfer of the course fees will be made.

Examination dates are fixed to the course onto which you book and any transfer to an alternative date will incur an administration fee of $100.00. All transfer requests must be made in writing or by email to [email protected] at least 21 working days before the original examination date.

Transfer requests made within 15 working days of the examination date will incur the administration  fee and cost of examination paper which will have been ordered via WSET Awards. Transfers are subject to availability on the alternative date.

Course cancellation by NZSWS. Fees will be refunded in full if NZSWS  cancels a course for any reason including if enrolments do not reach the required minimum numbers. Notification will be made in the 15 working days prior to the planned start date of the course. 

Examination Resit Fees
Examination resit fees change periodically. Current resit fees are available upon request from NZSWS and will be provided to students if they are unsuccessful in an examination.
